What is the best way to stay chic all year long?
The style of your clothing changes according to the season. There are some pieces that can be worn all year round, while others are seasonal and perfect for a specific time of the year only.
So what are these pieces that you need to have in your wardrobe? How can you pull off winter chic or summer chic? Find out below!
What are the key pieces of your wardrobe that you need to have no matter what?
Of course, these include basics like jeans, t-shirts, and skirts. You can’t go wrong with them!
Also, you should pay attention to the quality of your clothes. While you don’t need to run out and buy designer brands (that will only break the bank), don’t let it turn into a sheer piece of fabric either.
If your clothes are low quality, you will find yourself replacing them every few months. And that’s not going to help your style!
What about items that may change according to the season?
That is really up to personal preference. Fashion changes with the seasons so you have to change too! Some items I consider seasonal are the following:
Winter: Sweaters, boots, coats, and scarves.
Spring: Denim shorts, light colors, sandals, and dresses.
Summer: Bathing suits, sunglasses, sundresses, and cover-ups.
Fall: All of the above plus sweaters, boots, and coats again!
What is the best way to wear these pieces?
Start by thinking about why you bought them. In which season do you plan on wearing each piece? Also, when in that season will you be wearing it? Next, how can you adapt your usual style to that of the time period?
For example, if you want to go for a summer look, this doesn’t mean wearing your sundress every day. Dress it up with accessories and heels!
So there you have it! The key pieces need to be in your wardrobe no matter what and it’s up to personal preference as to which season each item belongs.
When thinking about which season an item belongs to, think about when you want to wear it! Adapt your personal style into the current fashion trends.
